For the 10th anniversary of Talking Pictures, I wanted to take photos that didn't look like photographs. Mundane objects so transformed as to become unrecognisable and mysterious. As I was working on the pictures a quote by Bill Brandt kept popping into my head..."A photographer is allowed to do anything, anything in order to improve his picture."
